The Picture Puzzle is arguably one of the most difficult and most arduous puzzles to solve in the entire game.If you’re not paying close attention you’ll end up missing some much-needed information.
What is the Picture Puzzle?
In every room of the house, barring some exceptions, you’ll find two drawings hung up on the walls or set out somewhere in the room. These two photos combined will give you a hint about solving some of the other puzzles scattered throughout the house.
This puzzle will take several runs, so don’t expect to get all the answers in one go because it is quite literally impossible.That being said, if you’d just like the answer, I’ll have it below along with an explanation of what the answer means.

How to Start the Picture Puzzle?
Truth be told, you can’t really start or finish this puzzle in the conventional sense. It isn’t something that has inputs or that can be completed for a reward.
Rather, it is a puzzle that provides you with necessary information that can help you as you navigate the house and various puzzles. As soon as you walk into the very first room of the house, you can start making some notes about this puzzle.
All the drawings on the walls you pass will be important, so making note of them is suggested. There are two rooms that contain some information on this puzzle which will be integral to solving it.
This should give you a good idea of how the puzzle works and what the end result of it will be. From here you just need to find as many drawings as you can to piece together the message.

How to Solve the Picture Puzzle?
Solving this puzzle with no help will mean taking a lot of notes or at least copying the image you saw in the Study and filling it in as you go.
Even when the rooms change, the letter the images in those rooms reveal will remain the same, so the room directly north of the foyer will always have images for the letter G.
For each image pair you’ll need to discover what word the image is conveying and determine what letter makes them different. Below is a table of a few of the ones I was able to find to give some examples.
As you go through each room, jot down the letters you think the images could be.Some are far more complicated than others, so my suggestion is to focus on figuring out one image first and working backwards from there.
For instance, using the Stag and Stage example, the picture of a play stage and stag could have many meanings. Breaking these down to base elements will help. The image of the stage could mean PLAY, SHOW or STAGE.
While the stag could be either a STAG, BUCK, HART or even DEER.You may need to do some Googling for some of these if you’re hoping to complete it on your own. I know I sure did.
From there you can easily discern which word matches which image. In this case, it is STAG and STAGE with the extra letter being E.
The table below denotes the entire message as it appears in the grid. It reveals the hidden message and meaning behind this whole puzzle.

While this sounds like gibberish, it is actually an important clue to opening many of the locked gates and safes that are hidden throughout the house.
