Blue Lock Episode 4 Recap

The episode starts with Team Z discussing their individual weapons, but Isagi isn’t sure if he even has a weapon. In the meantime, Kuon comes up with a strategy for the next game. While having dinner, Kunagami approaches Isagi and thanks him for passing the ball in the match. Isagi asks why he wants to become a soccer player, to which he replies that he grew up idolizing the strikers and wants to become like them.

Kunagami then offers half of his steak to Isagi and asks for the reason he passed him the ball. Isagi replies that it was just his instinct to pass him the ball instead of Raichi. Kunigami wonders if Isagi’s weapon is to make instant decisions correctly. Now it’s time for Team Z’s match with Team Y, who also lost their last match, and their top scorer was Okata Kumamoto.

The match starts, and team Z isn’t able to break Team Y’s defense. Isagi feels strange to see Okawa not doing anything and wonders what they are waiting for. But when Niko passes the ball to Okawa, Isaki understands that they are waiting for the counterattack. This results in a goal in Team Ys favor. In the second half, Gagamaru is able to score a goal, taking the score to 1-1 at the end of the episode.
