Outside of atechnically flawed Nintendo Switch portthat needed to be patched soon after launch,Bloodstained: Ritual of the Nightfrom ArtPlay and 505 Games had arelatively smooth releasewhen compared to some other spiritual successor KickStarter projects. Now that the game has been out for a couple of weeks, its developers are beginning to look into the future post-launch support and DLC. Some freeDLC is already confirmed, but a new survey released to the general public today shows that the developers are taking fan feedback into account when crafting future paid DLC.
After making your way through the standard age, gender, and ownership questions of theBloodstained: Ritual of the Night survey,we get a better idea of the DLC items and price ranges ArtPlay and 505 Games are considering. For reference in all of this, they let players know that “2 head & one back accessory, dress, boots, [and a] weapon & shard” will be contained within each DLC pack.
Looking at the possible DLC options, none of them are super outrageous or surprising; that being said, some of them do contain interesting ideas. Of course, there are the standard Samurai, Ninja, and modern outfits many players might expect, but there are also some more unique outfit ideas like a prehistoric cave woman, a 3D wireframe, and a magical girl look. Some outfit ideas also reference other characters in the game, such as a Fully Corrupted outfit similar to Gebel’s look or nun outfit like Dominique’s. As for the DLC price range question, the survey lets players choose price points between $0.99 and $9.99, so this is your best chance to ensureBloodstained: Ritual of the Night’sDLC is available at a price point that works for you.
The survey is still availableif you want to fill it out for yourself and ultimately influence the game’s DLC.Bloodstained: Ritual of the Nightis currently available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switchand can be picked up on Amazon right now.Â
