Bloober Team, the Polish game company behind popular horror-thrillersLayers of FearandThe Medium, has officially announced that a new game codenamed Project M has entered the production phase. The new project has reportedly been in pre-production for over a year now, but further details currently remain scarce.

In a recenttweet, Bloober Team disclosed that Draw Distance studio, best known for developing last year’sSerial Cleaners, will be responsible for the development of Project M. However, the tweet lacked any further details on what to expect from the project, such as release window or genre type.

Bloober Team is certainly keeping itself busy at the moment, with a list of games already in their final phases. The studio is best known for horror titles and is also working on a remake ofSilent Hill 2, under which itpromises to implement a very safe approachto remain faithful to the original title. In addition, Layers Of Fear is making its way toXboxlater this year, Bloober has confirmed.

Alongside the recently announced Project M, Bloober Team has another horror game already in development withPrivate Division. The developer revealed the game’s genre but said nothing about the title or the IP. The CEO alsoaddedthat gamers should not expect that project to launch before calendar 2025.

Late last year, Draw Distance launched its stealth game, Serial Cleaners, and has also remained mum on details about collaboration in Project M. The developer has also previously worked on Steam titleVampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York. Bloober has said that the new project has been in pre-production for over a year, so they’re likely to have established the concept for the game.

Assuming the Silent Hill 2 remake comes out in 2024, Bloober Team will have released three titles in three years. However, the upcoming Layers Of Fear game will probably average 5 hours long like the previous ones. Besides, the co-developers, including Private Division, tend to create middle-market games meaning that Bloober Team will have the time it needs to make every title the best version it can be.
