Bleachis one of the iconic and popular anime among the big three of Shonen. Despite its criticism, it is in a league of its own. From power-packed battles to the soundtrack, it excels in most ways. This also extends to its character-building and power systems. With its promising sequel, the series made a comeback after its ten-year hiatus. However, there’s a caveat to that as well.

While the series unpacks some major arcs, it falls short in many ways. This holds especially true for its pacing. There is an underlying criticism regarding its fast-paced nature. This has fans divided; some were fine with the pacing while others seemed vexed by it. However, it also concerns Tite Kubo who has been grappling with this issue for a long time.
Bleach is plagued with never-ending criticism
From its fanservice to its cliche tropes,Bleachis ridden with never-ending criticism. This censure is extended to its pacing as well. The original series moved at a glacial pace which annoyed the viewers. This was on par with the manga since it was mirroring the arcs. With the sequel series, however, the pacing criticism isn’t going anytime soon.
With its premiere in 2022, the sequel seriesmarked the comebackof the iconic franchise. This holds especially true since the mangaka went on a ten-year hiatus. From the mangaka’s poor health to the rushed ending, it made sense for the most part. However, the sequel’s mirroring of the arcs doesn’t sit well with fans. Several fans suggest that the plot development is rather fast-paced.

To Celebrate Anime’s return, Tite Kubo Draws the One Bleach Character Every Jujutsu Kaisen Fan Hates
ARedditthread pointed out the fast-paced nature of the sequel. This was followed by a string of comments that shed light on the issue. The criticism, however, garnered neutral reactions.
Although the series may feel fast-paced to most fans, it is necessary. It seeks to redeem its shortcomings through the mangaka’s involvement.

Tite Kubo’s involvement in Thousand Year Blood War is pivotal to the series
There have beenseveral false claimsregardingTite Kubo. This is regarding his ‘lack of involvement’ in the original series. This isn’t entirely true considering the efforts he made to salvage the anime. As opposed to the original series, the sequel is excellent in more ways. From its animation to pacing, Studio Pierrot is redeeming the series’ status.
This is evident in the power scaling and side characters as well. As opposed to the precursor series, the sequel lets the characters shine. From Mayuri to Kenpachi Zaraki, the characters take the reigns. What’s even more interesting is the breakaway from old shonen tropes.

This is clear in Uryu Ishida’s ambiguity as a character. The anime giving more screen time to side characters is refreshing. It highlights Kubo’s pivotal role in involving himself in the project. Theepisode ratingsare a testimony to the series’ growing success.
No Bleach Arc Can be Skipped After the Genius Move Studio Pierrot Played with the Filler Episodes
While a fast-paced plot is an issue for most fans, it is congruent in this case. Especially with the mirroring of the arcs in the series, a fast pace is necessary. Since the sequel seeks to rectify its shortcomings, the alleged criticism is unwarranted. In a twist of events, well-read fans explaining the nature of pacing is truly refreshing.
