With Nintendoushering in a $80 price tag for games, it has emboldened game publishers to follow suit, with Microsoft announcing itsfirst $80-priced gamebefore retracting that announcement just weeks later.
Given how popular theCall of Dutyfranchise is, some gamers (including this writer) assumed that if Microsoft would ever attempt to price a game higher than usual, it would be with the mega-hit shooter franchise.

Although no announcement has been made yet, a recent leak appears to confirm the game’s price.
Black Ops 7 Price Sticks To The Standard For Now
The latest leak regarding Black Ops 7 comes from the ever-reliablebillbil-kun. Over on X, the leaker listed the price of the Standard and Vault editions:
As with anything leaked and unofficial, treat this with a grain of salt for now, as Activision hasn’t confirmed anything. That said, billbil-kun has been very, very accurate in their price leaks, and I don’t see any reason why this would be any different.

If this turns out to be legit, then Call of Duty players can breathe a sigh of relief – at least for this year. Having said that, I doubt Microsoft will stick to this price point for the entirety of this gen, though I would love to be proven wrong.
In other Black Ops 7 news, the shooter isconfirmed to be following Battlefield 6’s anti-cheat move, which should be good news for gamers.

Black Ops 7 is due for release later this year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, thoughthere’s no version for the Switch 2planned, it seems.
Expect more news about Black Ops 7 to be released this coming week, when Activision unveils it in full at gamescom.
