However, there would have been quite a few questions that fans must be asking themselves, especially those who have been introduced to the magical realm of Black Clover with the recent movie. And the biggest question that everyone must be asking is, “How did Julius turn into a kid?” At the beginning of the movie, he is shown to be a grown-up man who battled Cornad and sealed him away for good. However, as time passed by and the movie took us to the present, instead of further growing old, Julius can be seen depicted as a kid, even younger than our protagonist Asta. So what caused this sudden change in age? Let’s find out.
Julius' Death At The Hands Of Patolli
To learn how Julius turned into a kid, we have to go back to the time when he died in a battle against Patolli, which took place in episodes 92 and 93 of the series. As the battle between Julius and Patolli intensified, Patolli launched powerful spells toward Julius; however, Julius displayed his exceptional control over Time Magic by countering them easily. The confrontation further intensified as Patolli landed a critical blow on Julius.
Being the Wizard King, Julius wasn’t that easy to be killed, and he revealed his unique ability to steal time from others, healing himself and refusing to succumb. However, after countless struggles, in a final exchange, Patolli dealt a fatal blow to Julius with his light sword. Yami arrived on the scene, but it was too late as Julius met his demise.
How Did Julius Turn Into A Kid?
Now the question arises, how did Julius turn into a kid? For that, we have to first understand that Julius is a remarkable magic user, who has complete control over time, thanks to his ability as the user of Time Magic. Being a Time Magic user, Julius has the ability to steal time from others, increase or decrease its speed, and even stop time completely.
Due to Julius' ability to store time, he made his return in episode 121 of the series. This was made possible using Five-Leaf Grimoire made by Lumiere and Secre, which assisted in Julius' regeneration. However, Julius didn’t remain the same after his revival, as he honed the body of a 13-year-old child with a significant increase in his hair length. Also, there’s a significant decrease in his powers compared to his original body of a grown-up. But if we talk about his intellect and wise-decision making, which we know him for, that remains intact even when he remains in a kid’s body.
