What Happened Previously On Black Clover?
The previous chapter started with Yuno and Lucius standing against each other, and the latter comments that they all seemed to be quite obsessed with Asta; however, he will ensure that Asta doesn’t come back. On the other hand, the battle continued in the Witches Forest, where we see Black Bulls commencing an attack against Damnatio, who wanted to disrupt the Door of Fate, which would be used to bring back Asta.
Damnatio counter-attacked by using Scale Magic: Scale Dominate, getting rid of the spells. He stated that, as a Paladin, it was his duty to ensure justice prevailed, and by no means no would allow a devil-like Asta to disrupt the peace of the world. He stated that justice could only take place in the presence of Lucius.
Legless Angels could be seen unleashing a large beam of light, and the scene then shifted to the confrontation between Yami and Morgan. Morgan supported Lucius' peaceful vision of the world while sensing distrust in the Witches Forest, who seem to come in their way. He offered Yami to reunite and protect their country once again, recalling their days as comrades in the Grey Deer.
Yami rejected Morgen’s proposal, stating that their paths have permanently separated. He stated that he had formed a strong bond with his own squad, the Black Bulls, and prepared for battle. Meanwhile, the Black Bulls countered the angels' attack with Trap Magic and confronted Damnatio, infuriating him due to their unwavering support for Asta. In the end, some Black Bulls arrived to fight Damnatio.
