Few characters have the hype that Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff does in the MCU. From the very first time that she was teased in the franchise, fans have patiently waited for the Scarlet Witch, knowing full well what her entry would mean for every single character. The domino effect that resulted in Olsen’s character turning into who she was meant to be cannot be narrowed down to a few moments.

Her power is infinite and although she is allegedly dead in the franchise, very few fans are convinced that she isn’t coming back. With this, one of the biggest debates in the series puts her against another character that has been deemed the strongest.
Although there is no denying that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is ridiculously powerful, one deleted scene fromWandaVisionshowcases that his power cannot outmatch the harbinger of chaos.

Chaos Magic vs. Mystic Acts
For years now, one of the most frequently talked about topics among fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about who is stronger than the other. First comparing humans, to superpowered humans, then moving on to Gods and Hulks, there always seemed to be someone more powerful than the person before them.
However, whenDoctor Strangewas introduced, fans began to respect his power before he even got it, knowing the tales of what he was capable of. Knowing that he could overpower any character in the franchise, he was in a league of his own. That was until Wanda became theScarlet Witch.

Since then, there has been a constant debate about who is stronger among the two. Recently, the creator ofWandaVisionandAgatha All Along, Jac Schaeffer, revealed that Doctor Strange was originally supposed to make an appearance in the bizarre television series that unraveled Maximoff’s mind.
She confessed that he was supposed to show up in a post-credit scene and her description seems to paint an evident victory between the two magical beings.

Benedict Cumberbatch Does Not Stand a Chance In Front of Elizabeth Olsen
During an interview withVariety, Jac Schaeffer revealed thatElizabeth Olsen’sWanda was supposed to be sitting on the porch of the home she created inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Here, a “Marvel Sparkle Circle” was supposed to appear under her, indicating that Doctor Strange was trying to teleport her to him.
It’s Wanda sitting on the porch of that cabin, and she’s rocking peacefully. And you know how Strange can do those circles around someone, and make them go somewhere? The circle starts around her, like she’s going to be teleported somewhere, and she stops it, so Strange has to show up in person.

However, she would stop this, not wanting to be summoned as such. This would force Strange to appear in person to talk to her. While this scene would have been an excellent show for the dynamics of the 2022 film, it also seems to indicate something greater about these two characters.
I just loved that so much, that Wanda would be like, “No, I’m not going to go where you want to teleport me. You’re going to have to come to my door.”
Marvel Theory Reveals Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff isn’t MCU’s First Dreamwalker
The fact that Maximoff was able to overpower Strange so easily showcases that she could be stronger than him. Considering how much effortBenedict Cumberbatch’scharacter had to put to defeat Wanda, that too only winning when she came to her senses, showcases that even though he is powerful, he is no match for the Scarlet Witch.
