Battlefield 6 Hits Major Wishlist Milestone In Two Days
The data about wishlists for Battlefield 6 is out, and the franchise can hope for a comeback.
Now, in a recent reply to a fan, Alexia Christofi, the producer at DICE, revealed the game’s support for keyboard and mouse controls for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Battlefield 6 Will Let You Use Mouse And Keyboard On Consoles
While responding to X (formerly Twitter) user conne0312, whoasked: “Any info about MnK support for consoles?”, Alexiareplied:
We have it!

While a lot of the players are happy about this response, several others are concerned and want to know if these console players will be matched with them instead of PC players.
In a reply to another tweet by a different user, Alexia revealed how thegame’s crossplay will work. Players who enable crossplay on their consoles will not directly get matched with PC players; instead, the first priority will be searching for other console players first.

Thus, this raises concerns about what will happen to console players playing with a controller. The ideal situation would be to match keyboard and mouse console players with PC players and go for an input-based matchmaking system. But whether it will happen is yet to be confirmed.
Input-based matchmaking isn’t really a new concept, and we have seen it before withXDefiant. However, having it strictly on can hurt matchmaking and user experience if the servers are unable to find matches in areas with fewer players. So, if they do give this option, it would be for the better if it is turned off by default.

While we are yet to find out exactly how the matchmaking will work, what is confirmed is that the game will have more than40 weapons at launchand9 different maps. So far, things are looking good for BF6, and if it continues on this path, it may even deliver on the things that fans have been asking for.
Battlefield 6 will be playable on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 18, 2025.
