Following the release of Bastard!! - Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy back in June, fans are eager to jump into the second half of the season. The 24-episode series was split into two courses, with Part 2 set to premiere on Netflix later this week.
On July 8th, theofficial Twitter accountfor Bastard!! - Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy announced the release date for the show’s second part. Now, it’s finally time for us to cherish the adventures of Dark Schneider, a legendary sorcerer awakened by the Kingdom of Metallicana, to save themselves from the dark forces who want to resurrect the god of destruction, Anthrasax.

Bastard!! - Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Part 2 is set for release onThursday, September 15th, 2022,onNetflix. The first part of the series ran for 13 episodes, which leaves us with 11 episodes in the second half. Just like the previous part, all the remaining episodes will drop at once instead of following a weekly schedule. There’s no official word from Netflix regarding the release time of the show, but given the schedule that the first part followed, here’s the air time of the series for different locations due to its simultaneous release:
What Happened Previously in Bastard!! - Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy
In Episode 13 of the series, we saw Arshes and Dark Schneider engaging in a fierce battle. They both have their own reason to fight and battle to kill each other. But due to their history, a part of them still doesn’t want to fight. We see a flashback of Arches dark past where everyone abandoned her, but Dark Schneider raised her up, acting as both her father and lover.
Arches don’t want to fight with Dark Schneider. But the spell from Abigail would turn her into a toad if she failed to kill him. And the only way to kill Dark Schneider is to take out his heart. Now the battle starts, and Dark Schneider starts to overpower her. Arches breaks down and confesses that she doesn’t want to get killed by a spell, but it cannot be undone.
Dark Schneider starts hearing the voice of Lucius inside his head, who explains how much Arches loves him and tells him that she just wants to die at the hands of the one she loves. At the end of the episode, Dark Schneider approaches Arches, pulls out his heart from his chest, and gives it to her.
