Devilfoil Masks Effects

So with the masks in your inventory, it’s time to figure out what exactly it is that they do. When you put one of them on,you won’t see an immediate change or effectcome into play, so you will naturally be confused about what to do with it.

The purpose of the Devilfoil Mask towear it as one group, as when wearing one of the masks, the effects will not activate until you have come close to another character wearing another one. When you come within 20 meters of another character who is wearing a mask, you will increase your Strength by 1 and decrease your Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma by one point.

Further, these effects stack on each other when there are more characters nearby that are wearing them. When you have all four masks being worn by characters in a 20-meter radius, you will geta Strength bonus of 3, with the rest of the stats getting a decrease of 3.

Which begs the question of when should you use a Devilfoil Mask? The honest answer is that the mask is going to be a burden for more players than it is going to be a benefit. If your character isfocused solely on Strength, then the masks would be a big help in getting that bump, but you would then be limiting the Strength of the other characters in your party. So unless you have a full,four-person partyof characters who are all focusedon Strength builds, then leave the masks off.

If you’re not going to use it and don’t care about keeping it in your inventory, then you cansell the masks for 240 gold each, which can be a good sum of money.
