What Happens If Abdirak Hits You

If you agree to Abdirak’s proposal of getting hit by him, he will strike you three times. Each strike will be a separate dice roll, and if you succeed in all three, Abdirak will give you the Loviatar’s Lovepermanent bonus:If your health falls below 30%, you get +2 to all Attack Rolls and Wisdom saving throws for 3 turns.

Even though this is technically a permanent bonus, it will stop working if the character that has it dies and is revived.

Every time Abdirak hits you, you’ll have two options:

If you succeed in fulfilling either of these conditions for all three turns, Abdirak will reward you with theLoviatar’s Lovecondition. If you fail, he will simply stop.

Should You Kill Abdirak

Yes, you should. The Loviatar’s Love condition is permanent; killing Abdirak does not affect it.And even if you don’t kill him, he does not appear again in Act 2 or Act 3. He also drops Loviatar’s Scourge, an Uncommon Mace that deals an extra 1d6 Necrotic Damage on top of its base damage, as well as a scroll of Hold Person.
