Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Thinks They’ve Found Hilarious Gordon Ramsay Easter Egg

Has Larian Studios inserted a clever reference to the foul-mouthed Hell’s Kitchen chef Gordon Ramsay into Baldur’s Gate 3?

Shadowheart, or should we say “God’s Favourite Princess”, is an iconic character that has become a firm choice of companion throughout Baldur’s Gate 3, not only due to her ambition and dark underlying story, but also how, under all that cold exterior, she really is very sweet and kind, so it’s completely understandable why players want to guard her with their lives especially so when it comes to those big battles against formidable foes.

As everyone will know who has encountered it,the Toll Houseon the Risen Road is a creepy place filled with strange nurses who wander its halls. Not only that, but it hosts one of the most sinister bosses you have to fight to get to the other side.

Gerringothe Thorm is the toll-master of the Reithwin Tollhouse and completely made of gold coin, who has been driven to despair by her greed for money for those who want to pass to cross the river to Moonrise Towers.

One player got a little more than they bargained for while challenging the coin lady, only for her to start exploding gold throughout the area Shadowheart was downed in, which left the poor cleric in a terrible mess, in more ways than one. Apparently, Shadowheart was blown to smithereens, and all that was left was a pile of guts that the player couldn’t bring back due to not being able to “reanimate inanimate objects”, even with the Revivify spell.

“This one’s Shadowheart, and Shadowliver, and Shadowlungs, and Shadowintestine…” saidSarkoptesmilbe.

As you can tell from the Reddit image post above, it’s not a pretty sight, prompting players to nickname her “Shadowhaggis” and “Shadowgiblets”. Although there’s a very good chance Withers can bring Shadowheart back into her full non-cheery self again at camp, there have been some instances when players havereportedthat even the mysterious undead entity has been unable to breathe life into the devoted Shar half-elf.

I think the main takeaway from this “coin lady” encounter is to make sure Shadowheart is protected at all costs!
