What Are The Rats In The Gauntlet Of Shar Doing?
While exploring around theThe Gauntlet of Shar, you are bound to run into groups of rats just hanging around the area.If you try to speak to them, they will be aggressive and tell you that you do not belong in the area and that you need to leave now. If you keep pushing them or attack them, swarms of rats will appear and attack.This probably made you wonder what on earth they are even doing there and what they are hiding. Thankfully, we don’t need to wonder for long.
How To Figure Out Their Secret
If you travel to the bottom of the Gauntlet of Shar (directly below the giant statue of Shar) at the coordinates X: -710, Y: -725, you will find a weird ritual circle and a book called “One Becomes Many.“Upon reading the book, you will learn about a type of magic that can cause someone to turn into many. The question is, many of what? After learning about this, interact with the effigy in the ritual circle and a rat will appear. He will tell you that he will lead you to his treasure if you don’t tell his secret.You do not want to bargain with him. Instead, attack the rat and kill any rats that appear.Once you have done that, you will learn the secret about these rats.
While you’re able to agree to bargain with the rat, your reward isnotworth it at all.
Who Are The Rats In The Gauntlet Of Shar?
After defeating the rats, you will meet Lyrthindor, a Dark Justiciar who used the magic in the book to transform himself into a ton of rats.This allowed him to hide from Yurgir, who has been searching the Gauntlet for him for ages. If you kill him, you will get some great rewards and help Yurgir fulfill his contract.
