Team Asobi has one more content drop for Astro Bot before the year is over, and it brings the holiday-themed content into the game. Called the “Winter Wonder” update, players can expect it to be released on December 12 at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET.

This update continues Team Asobi’s stellar post-release support of Astro Bot, where we sawweekly speedrun levels releasedfor free back in November.

Astro Bot’s Winter Wonder Update Won’t Feature Any “Hair-Pulling Challenge”

Team Asobi notes that for players to experience the new content, they must have completed the game before this special update appears. The studio wants to keep things under wraps in what it brings, but players should expect a “fun-filled level with shiny presents, a good dose of jingle bells,” and new bots.

What won’t be part of the update is a “hair-pulling challenge,” which is what we saw from the speedrun levels released previously. Team Asobi mentions that this decision was made so that this update could be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

Will we see another update after this one? While we can’t say for sure, Team Asobi’s announcement for the Winter Wonder patch made it sound like it’ll be the last one for the game, as Team Asobi says, “For now, it’s goodbye from Astro and the bots. We’ll see you around.”
