While plenty of people are laying around on their sofa’s, eating the last box of cookies they promised themselves an hour ago they wouldn’t eat and binge-watchingTiger King,Animal Crossing: New Horizonplayers have been hard at work. Granted some have been super stressed out about their turnips, but one player in particular thought they would recreate their peaceful tropical island into the 90s iconic gaming hit,The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Reddit userVaynMaanenspent a grueling four days perfecting their island into the Hyrule map, making sure to pay close attention to detail. From the pictures shown, VaynMaanen included Death Mountain, all waterways including the Waterfall of Wishing, a re-creation of the starting point in A Link to the Past, Link’s house, and there’s even a recreation of Kakariko Village to the west, crafted from a huddle of islander homes. The player also placed a map of Zelda’s iconic overworld in comparison to showcase how much they worked to make it look similar. You can check out many more picturesright here.

VaynMaanen’s remarkable recreation of the original SNES map only goes to show how much you’re able to do withAnimal Crossing: New Horizon’s terraforming tools which means the sky is your limit (kind of) in what you could create. Heck, evenThe Room’s director,Tommy Wiseauhas created his own little house in the popular Switch game. Is there anyone that hasn’t left the hellfire of the real world and created a new life for themselves inAnimal Crossing?

WithThe Last of Us Part 2just around the corner, why not get creative with your villager and transform them into Ellie fromThe Last of Us.
