InDragon Age: The Veilguard, players will want to search for Evanuris Altars scattered throughout the world of Thedas. These rare structures are very well hidden but are worth locating as they increase your maximum health by 100 and reward a high amount of experience points.
After finding an Evanuris Altar, players must also solve a quick puzzle by shooting four floating glyphs in the nearby area. The good news is that these glyphs aren’t very difficult to find, and the altar shows you which direction to go in to find them.

The first Evanuris Altar in Arlathan Forest can be found onMap Level 2 in the Tainted Woods. This altar is hard to miss, considering it sits atop a large staircase between two giant archways.
Arlathan Forest #2: Ancient Aqueduct
In the eastern sections of Arlathan Forest, players can find an Evanuris Altar onMap Level 2. More specifically, it is found in theAncient Aqueduct area.
From the Ancient Aqueduct beacon, head outside and you’ll find a decent-sized tower off in the distance. The altar stands right next to the tower on the ground floor, making it super easy to reach.
Arlathan Forest #3: Shadowy Grove
The best way to find the Evanuris Altar in Shadowy Grove is during Bellara’s Spirit of the Dalish companion quest.
Once you reachShadowy Grove, you can find the altar up a small hill onMap Level 2. It’s hidden away in a tiny nook in the mountainside.
Arlathan Forest #4: Riverside Ruins
In the northern section of Arlathan Forest, located in theRiverside Ruins on Map Level 2, players can find another Evanuris Altar next to a broken-down bridge. This specific altar becomes accessible during Bellara’s The Spirits of the Dalish companion quest.

Crossroads #1: Heights of Athim
In the snowy region of the Crossroads, calledHeights of Athim, you’ll find another Evanuris Altar onMap Level 3.

Heights of Athim is a relatively large section of the Crossroads map, so it can be tricky to locate the altar. Don’t worry; keep on the lookout for a run-down village area (broken sheds), and you’ll know you’re in the correct place.
Crossroads #2: Elvhenan’s Haven
During the Regrets of the Dread Wolf quest,you’ll eventually reach an area called Elvhenan’s Haven that contains an Evanuris Altar.
First, interact with the phony Wolf Statuette in the area, making another waypoint marker appear. Follow the waypoint marker, turn the statues to face each other, and then continue over the bridge to find the Evanuris Altar.
Crossroads #3: Elvhenan’s Haven
From the Elvhenan’s Haven Beacon, head into the large enclosed building and continue forward until you reach the spiral staircase in the back room. Take the staircase down to the bottom floor, where you’ll find an Evanuris Altar onMap Level 1.
Crossroads #4: Converged City
The Evanuris Altar in the Converged City of the Crossroads can only be activated after completing theGate of Lost Ages side quest.To unlock this specific side quest, approach the sealed door leading to the Converged City, and it’ll automatically be added to your journal.

An Evanuris Altar can be found onMap Level 2 in the Ghilan’nain’s Sanctumsection of Dock Town. This area is initially blocked off but becomes available during theShadows of Minrathous main quest.
All Evanuris Altar Locations in Hossberg Wetlands
Hossberg Wetlands #1: Inner Courtyard
OnMap Level 1of Hossberg Wetlands, an Evanuris Altar can be found in theInner Courtyard area. You’ll know you’re getting close if you spot a large gold arm hanging down from the castle’s roof.
If you’re having trouble accessing the Inner Courtyard, then continue progressing the main story. The Inner Courtyard area unlocks duringThe Cauldron main questof Act 2.
Hossberg wetlands #2: Gaspin Manor
Another Evanuris Altar can be found in theGaspin Manorof Hossberg Wetlands, onMap Level 1. The easiest way to reach this location is by fast-traveling to the easternmost beacon of Hossberg Wetlands and heading south.

Rivain Coast #1: Lava Flows
Players can find an Evanuris Altar onMap Level 1of Rivain Coast in atiny area called Lava Flows.This area becomes available during Taash’s companion quest, Fire on the Sands, which unlocks after speaking to her at the end of the Dragon Slayer quest.
While following Taash during the Fire on the Sands quest, you’ll stumble upon this Evanuris Altartucked away in a small cave.
Rivain Coast #2: Clifftops
Hidden away in a large cave in theClifftops areaof Rivain Coast is another Evanuris Altar. It’s onMap Level 2and can easily be reached by teleporting to the central beacon.
In order to reach the cave, you’ll have to do a quick platforming exercise and climb up the mountainside. On your way up the mountain, you’ll have to use the Spiteful Aura ability on the purple orb to create a platform to jump across.
Rivain Coast #3: Cave Floor
One Evanuris Altar can be found on thewestern side of the Lava Cavesin the Rivain Coast, in a tiny area called theCave Floor. Players will encounter this area during Taash’s “Lair of the Dragon King” companion quest.
On the way to save Taash’s mother, and right before fighting Cutter, raise the platforms in the lava pit on the left-hand side. Jump across the platforms and you’ll find the Evanuris Altar on top of a small hill.
