One Piecechapter 1124, which was released on June 03, 2025, has shown the aftermath of the Egghead battle with the Navy being defeated and the Straw Hats enjoying their journey to Elbaf. In the chapter, the most interesting aspect is the conversation between Fleet Admiral Akainu and Admiral Kizaru, where the two act in an opposite way to what they are originally shown.

This interaction between the two has led to the creation of the theory about Akainu’s relationship with the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Monkey D. Dragon. According to theOne Piecetheory, Akainu and Dragon were friends in the past, and when they will face each other in their upcoming battle, they will have to fight to the death.

Kizaru’s Ranting Out on Akainu Changed Him

AsOne Piecefans know, while the Straw Hat Pirates managed to tip the scale of the Egghead War in their favor, they lost Vegapunk in the process. He was killed by his own friend who was fighting for the opposite side, Admiral Kizaru. However, Vegapunk’s death had a deep impact on Kizaru too.

Kizaru was conflicted with him going to Egghead to assassinate Vegapunk from the beginning. But when he got the chance, he chose to follow his orders and struck down the genius scientist. From there on, Kizaru was seen less in the story untilOne Piecechapter 1124, where he was the only one among the Navy soldiers to be standing up.

As the story of the chapter progressed, fans saw Akainu calling Kizaru on a den den mushi and ranting out about the defeat of the Navy. This rant flipped a switch in Kizaru, and he decided to show his pent-up frustration and guilt forkilling his best friendby shouting at Kizaru. Akainu ultimately realized his mistake and apologized for raising his voice, which was shocking forOne Piecefans.

Kizaru Yelling At Akainu

One PieceTheory Talks About Akainu and Dragon’s Friendship

When Kizaru is seen ranting out at Akainu, he asks Akainu if he ever had to kill his close friend. This question led to a big pause from Akainu’s side, which had given rise to aOne Piecetheory byOharaon YouTube. This theory states that Akainu in fact has tried to kill one of his friends, and he probably will once again in the future. And this friend is none other than Monkey D. Dragon.

According to the theory, when Dragon was in the Navy, he must have been friends with Akainu, as both of them are of the same age andboth joined the Navy at the same time. However, Dragon saw the atrocities that the World Government was doing, and he decided to leave the Navy. Akainu, on the other hand, saw it as a proclamation of justice.

Thus, the two fought against each other, and Dragon went on to create the Revolutionary Army, which is soon going to launch an attack on the World Nobles in the upcoming future. This attack could lead to Akainu and Dragon clashing once again, and there is also a chance that one of them won’t survive to see the rest of theOne Piecestory get completed.
