Aharen san wa Hakarenai, the height difference comedy manga by Asato Mizu, is getting its first anime adaptation in April 2022, details on the cast have been published alongside a reveal trailer. Here’s why you should check it out.

Aharen san wa Hakarenaianime is a youth romantic comedy featuring the small and quiet girl Reina Aharen, and her seatmate Raidou Matsuboshi. Aharen is completely unpredictable and tends to act in a familiar way with everyone she interacts with. In an overly familiar way, above the expected threshold in Japan. While this got her into trouble in the past, Matsuboshi actually doesn’t mind at all, and that’s how their friendship starts.
Most of the chapters are comedic in nature, with a slice of life feel to them. And most importantly, it’s funny and extremely cute. The title can be translated to “Aharen Is Indecipherable”. There is no official localized title seeing the manga isn’t published in the USA. It’s published by Shueisha on the Shonen Jump + app in Japan.
As for the cast, Inori Minase voices Aharen. She most notably voiced Altina in theTrails Series, Rem inRe:Zero, and Hestia inDanmachi. Recently, Inori Minase also voiced Priscilla, one of the Heroines ofRune Factory 5. The awesome new entry of the series is already available on Switch in Japan, and is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch in the West in 2022.
Meanwhile, Takuma Terashima voices Matsuboshi. He’s known for voicing Apollo in the originalAquarionanime, or Fighter Roar inSuper Robot Wars OG. Takuma Terashima also voices Shiki inEdens Zero, and Akkun inTokyo Revengers,to take more mainstream and recent examples.
