The newDeadpool & Wolverinemovie offered a bunch of cameos and comebacks for fan-favourite characters. Some of them were so iconic that fans rushed into theatres time and again to watch their favourite heroes and villains share the screen together.
During promotional interviews for the movie many alternate plot lines and possible what if scenarios were divulged. Director Shawn Levy along withDeadpoolactor, Ryan Reynolds did not shy away from discussing cameos and spoilers for future projects. One such what if was about the introduction of another popular actor as a villain in the movie way before Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine was signed on.
Jordan Peele was approached for the movie
During an interview with Josh Horowitz,theDeadpool & WolverinedirectorShawn Levyspilled many secrets about early on production of the film. One of the instances they talked about involved the 2018 Oscar winner actor, Jordan Peele and his possible introduction in the film.
We once had a villain idea in an early version, maybe even pre-Hugh. We’re just fans of Jordan Peele, like he’s just cool and he’s talented at a lot of different things.

Levy revealed that there were talks of approachingPeelefor a negative role in the movie, this was way beforeHugh Jackmanwas signed. TheGet Outdirector was supposed to play a high-ranking bureaucrat from the TVA and was one of the earliest villain roles to be considered for the movie.

We had him in mind for a villain and then for a kind of like high-ranking TVA bureaucrat villain sort of related to Mr Paradox.
The director said things weren’t confirmed yet as he andRyan Reynoldswere just looking for actors they wanted to ‘hang out with’ and they were huge admirers of the actor. It would have been cool to see the multi-talented actor alongside other superheroes but unfortunately, Peele was busy and things didn’t work out.
That was kind of just a pie in the sky idea that never came to fruition but again anything’s possible in the future.

Though Levy did leave a little hint for fans so we may be able to see more new characters in future movies. There are two Avengers movies scheduled to be released before 2030 so fingers crossed perhaps Peele may make his entry into theMCU, though nothing is confirmed.
The possible entry of Mephisto inDeadpool & Wolverine
The notorious villainMephistohas created a lot of chaos in the comics, he has also become one of the most awaited characters. Fans have been excited for his arrival in theMCUand suspected that it would be throughWandaVision.News stirred up again when in an interview withCollider,Reynolds revealed that they contemplated introducing Mephisto in an earlier plot discussion for the movie.

Though it didn’t work out and Jackman’sWolverinewas added instead to the storyline, fans are excited for the possibility of it coming true in future movies. Peele may have surpassed this opportunity but other cameos are just as exciting for the fans.
