TheHelldivers 2player, by the in-game name of Pieisgood101, sadly passed away recently, as their client BlackendWyervn informed the game’s Reddit community. The post has been upvoted by tens of thousands of like-minded democracy enthusiasts in a bitertweseet showcase of community support, proving that there’s a reason why theHelldivers 2community is one of the best ones.
Helldiver 2 Player Dies Due to a Tragic Car Accident
In one of the most-upvoted poststhis week on theHelldivers 2subreddit, user BlackenedWyvern informed the community about the tragic death of a fellow Helldive, whose in-game name was pieisgood/pieisgood101. The fallen Helldiver was on their way to school for graduation photos but, unfortunately, got caught up in a car accident.

While BlackenedWyvern wasn’t directly related to the fallen Helldiver, he was one of his clients and now wants to do something to honor the player’s memory. He says,“We often discussed helldivers 2 within sessions and I am hoping the helldivers community will provide support and a proper send off for our lost comrade in arms.”
As expected, thousands of fellow like-minded democracy enthusiasts stood up in unity and paid their tribute to the fallen Helldiver. Users responded with the same gif of a Helldiver saluting the Super Earth. It’s a gesture by the community to honor the fallen Helldiver in a never-ending Galactic War.
Other users also exchanged sympathetic messages, offering condolences and elaborate eulogies.
Even the fallen Helldiver’s brother commented on the post, thanking everyone in the community for their support. Although they’ve never played the game, they might someday honor their brother.
At the time of this writing, over 1,000 people have commented on the post, and the rest of the replies are flooded with players sharing their own stories of loss. Some even wrote epic speeches to memorize the fallen player. The entire Reddit thread is a testament to the best the Helldivers community offers.
