After more than six years since its announcement,Skull and Bonesis finally almost here. The long-delay title from Ubisoft Singapore went through development hell and now will launch tomorrow. This game was born as an expansion ofAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which eventually became its own game, revealed back in E3 2017. After several delays, a change in direction, and many more poor decisions by Ubisoft,Skull and Bonesis coming. Some players are not very happy about the result.
Skull and Bones are not making players happy
Skull and Boneshad an open beta last weekend, and many of the final mechanics of the game were shown to all the possible players. The boarding system seems very blended and simple, according to some very disappointed players.
Pitifully, this is not the only thing that players do not like about the game. Ubisoft sells it for $70 because, according to the company,Skull and Bonesis an AAAA kind of game. According to the edition of the game, some players can already play the title.

Thanks to a very viral post in X from userDrowsyKeroX, many players have replied with so much criticism forSkull and Bones. In the video from this post, you can see a key mechanic from the game. In the clip, you can see how the “boarding ship” mechanic works.
Ubisoft went for the easy way and went you through the hooks to board an enemy ship, cinematic drops, and you automatically get the loot from the other ship without fighting or anything; these can’t be changed in any way or form, just like the game is.
This could not be good for the game’s reputation

Many users in this X post reply with comments like this is a blend game, or they criticize the Ubisoft declaration, aiming to say that this is an AAAA game. Several users could not believe what they were seeing and were claiming that the game would not have good sales. Some players are even comparingSkull and BoneswithAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flagand saying that the game launch back in 2013 was much better than this.
Ubisoft has at least one complete year of content planned for Skull and Bones; they already introduced the roadmap and characters and mechanics that will arrive later in the game. This is the first Ubisoft launch of the year.
The company has some very anticipated games coming in the next few months, including two newAssassin’s Creedtitles.Skull and Boneswill be available tomorrow for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
