With their appearances alone, they give us a good idea of the world that these games take place in and prepare us for the journey ahead. At the end of the day, they’re one of our main tools in keeping us afloat during combat — not to mention how appealing and stylish they are as well.

There is a wonderful catalog of suits of armor in video games, but there are quite a few that stand above the rest. Having been implemented in memorable video games,these armor suitshave become just as iconic over time. Essentially, in gaming history, they have become the ultimate face of combat in video games.
10Daedric Armor (The Elder Scrolls Series)
Incredible and appealing armor sets are scattered throughout theElder Scrollsseries. Ranging from ones that are purely cosmetic to ones that can make you feel invincible, there’s armor for just about any player. However, even though most of them are iconic, the Daedric Armor is one that players will easily recognize.
Different versions of the armor are in each Elder Scrolls game, but theSkyrimvariant seems to be favored above all the rest. With having the highest armor rating in the base game (and also being the heaviest), it’s no wonder that fans gravitate toward the Skyrim variant of Daedric Armor.

7HEV Suit (Half-Life)

When Wrath of the Lich King came out, it quickly skyrocketed into becoming the best expansion released forWorld of Warcraft. It perfectly fleshed out the game, offering an intricate storyline for players to follow.

Worn by Doom Slayer in bothDoom(2016) andDoom Eternal, you’re graced with the Praetor Suit at the beginning of the game and continue to wear it for the rest of the game. Doom is a fascinating video game franchise, and the mysticism of the Doom Slayer himself enhances the series' appeal.

The Praetor Suit has strong capabilities that help you stay alive during your ruthless journey. It can absorb damage completely, letting you sustain damage without losing your HP until your armor points are gone. Essentially, this iconic armor is Doom Slayer’s powered combat exoskeleton, coming in handy for him even in the most violent times.
2Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor (Halo)
The Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor is arguably one of the most fantastic armor sets to go down in video game history. More commonly known as the suit of armor that Master Chief wears, it’s also the basis for all the armor in theHaloFranchise.
Throughout the series, the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor has remained nearly the same, with a few changes here and there. Variations of Samus Aran’s suits are seen throughout theMetroidfranchise. However, out of all of them, her Varia Suit stands out the most. Alternately referred to as the Barrier Suit, the Varia Suit is what Samus is commonly depicted in.
This suit typically provides a great sense of defense for yourself and lets you explore areas in hot temperatures. It’s slightly changed in color over the years, but the overarching concept has remained the same. In essence, the Varia Suit is the variation that represents Samus' roots. She will always appear in the suit one way or another, reminding us of who she’ll always be: the coolest bounty hunter in gaming.
