When you think of cozy games, “stealth” probably isn’t the first thing that pops into your mind. That being said, there’s something deeply satisfying about creeping around undetected in a game that isn’t a PTSD-inducing horror-genre nightmare.
10 Best Cozy Games With No Resource Management
For those tired of constantly sorting items.
Many stealth games live exclusively in the horror and thriller genres, filled with horrible monsters or massive organizations that you constantly need to hide from, tiptoeing around them in a constant, stressful game of cat and mouse. Cozy stealth games, however, lower the stakes for a more casual experience.
Whether you’re dodging the gazes of nosy neighbors, tiptoeing past sleepy robots, or pilfering pastries under the cover of night, stealth can be every bit as delightful as any other cozy game mechanics, like fishing or farming. This list goes over some of the best cozy games that incorporate stealth mechanics into their gameplay without ever becoming too intense or stressful.

10Mineko’s Night Market
Sneaky Feline Hero
Meowza Games
Release Date
September 26th, 2023
PC, Nintendo Switch
Crafting, Adventure
If you love cats as much as you love sneaking around, thenMineko’s Night Marketis going to be right up your alley.
Mineko’s Night Market is a game about crafting, petting cats, running a successful business, and solving an ancient conspiracy about a cat god. As Mineko, you’ll have to sneak into guarded facilities, tiptoe past secret agents, and free cats trapped in cages, all to uncover the mysterious truth behind the disappearance of Nikko, the island’s sun god.

There are a few good stealth sections in the game, but that’s far from its only fun mechanic. You’ll also be able to craft adorable knick-knacks and sell them at your market stall, along with solving puzzles, petting cats, and participating in mini-games. It’s definitely the perfect game for anyone wanting some low-stakes stealth served alongside their cozy experiences.
Cozy Reverse Horror
September 25th, 2024
Stealth, Reverse Horror
Cat Nips takes the cozy-cat game formula and flips it on its fuzzy head. Sure, you get to play as an adorable kitty, but instead of knocking over plants or napping in sunbeams, you’re sneakily devouring office workers in your quest to escape a secret corporate facility.
Cat Nips is a reverse horror game where you play as the monster, albeit in a tiny, furry body.

Instead of a traditional villain, you’re a seemingly normal feline who was taken to a secret facility and experimented on, giving you strange, yet horrific, new powers. You’ll have to try to find a way out while sneaking past armed guards (or just eating them), security cameras, and other unfortunate “subjects” who, unlike you, don’t have escape on their minds.
Despite the reverse horror premise, it’s actually a weirdly cozy experience. Getting to sneak around as a tiny kitty while wreaking havoc on those who kidnapped you is as unique as it is enjoyable, and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever come acrossa horror game as cozy as this one.

7El Hijo - A Wild West Tale
Sneaky Spaghetti Western
Honig Studios, Quantumfrog
December 3rd, 2020
Casual, Stealth, Strategy
As a self-described “spaghetti-western stealth game”, you wouldn’t expect El Hijo to be as cozy as it is. Surprisingly, however, this game’s soft heart makes it one of the coziest stealth games out there, even if itisset in the wild west.
In El Hijo, you play as a six-year-old boy searching for his mother across dusty deserts, dark monasteries, and outlaw-filled boomtowns, all while doing your best to avoid detection.
Despite its grim-sounding setting, the tone stays surprisingly light and heartwarming; on your quest to find your mother, you’ll come across amazing people and breathtaking sights, allowing you to experience entirely new perspectives on life.
Instead of using weapons or violence to survive, your tools are toys, slingshots, and good old-fashioned sneakiness; there’s no violence and no bloodshed, just a mischievous, sneaky little cowboy on a quest to find his mom. If that’s not cozy, then I don’t know what is.
6Serial Cleaner
Cleaning Up Mob Messes
Serial Cleaner
Most cozy gamers would agree that there are few things as cozy as cleaning games, though I’m not sure Serial Cleaner is quite what they’d have in mind.
Set in the gritty-yet-groovy world of 1970s America, Serial Cleaner lets you experience the life of a glorified janitor for the mob. You play the part of a professional mafia cleaner, as in, the guy who swoops in after the dirty work is done to mop up the mess and make it all disappear.
It’s certainly no 9 to 5, but that doesn’t mean you don’t get any overtime. The mob never rests, and as long as they’re doing their job, you’ve got to do yours. You’ll need to sneak into fresh crime scenes, dodge patrolling cops, bag up bodies, scrub away blood, and vanish before anyone notices you were ever there; it isn’t the most glamorous career path, but hey, anything beats unemployment.
5Sneaky Kitten
Sneaky Kitty Collectathon
Eight Lives AB
December 24th, 2021
Stealth, Puzzle
Listen, I’m not sure why so many cozy stealth games are all about cats, but I’m not complaining. Sneaky Kitten is about as cozy as it gets; I mean, come on, it’s literally a kitten dressed up as a little burglar. Could it be any cuter??
In Sneaky Kitten, you aren’t just another adorable kitten; you’re an adorablestealth operativeon a mission to outwit your arch-nemeses: the dogs. Set in a lavish, canine-themed mansion, this non-violent stealth puzzler has you sneaking through rooms, swiping treasured trinkets, and solving clever obstacles, all without making a single sound (or meow).
There are no timers, no combat, and no stress; just pure sneakiness wrapped in cozy, cartoonish visuals. Each level challenges you to read into enemy patterns, think like a cat, and make your move when no one’s looking. Plus, you get to swipe literally everything that’s not nailed down, which is a pretty huge plus forall those closet-kleptomaniacsout there.
10 Badly Reviewed Cozy Games That Are Actually Pretty Good
Even the cute and cuddly cozy genre can be subjected to unfair and harsh reviews
Stealthy Little Stray
“Cozy” and “cyberpunk” don’t seem like genres that would go together, but Stray manages to be the exception. This game allows you to explore the grungy, futuristic streets of a cyberpunk city not as a hacker or a detective, but as a scrappy, orange tabby cat.
As a lost cat in an underground cyberpunk dystopia, you’ll have to search for a way back to the surface by solving puzzles, making friends with robots, and sneaking past the occasional monster and hostile machine. For the most part, the mechanical inhabitants of the city are pretty cordial and willing to help, but the Sentinels and Zurks that act as unofficial and unwanted guards? Not so much.
Between puzzle-solving and parkour hopping, you’ll have to sneak past hostile Sentinels, dart through angry Zurks, and scurry through tight alleyways to avoid danger. It might sound high-stakes, but don’t worry; the stealth is smooth and easily predictable, relying on timing, observation, and clever movement rather than combat or confrontation.
3Zefyr: A Thief’s Melody
Feel-Good Thief Sim
Oneiric Worlds
June 2nd, 2025
3D Platformer, Adventure
This game has a little bit of everything: adventure, mystery, pirates, sneaking around potential human traffickers—you name it!
In Zefyr: A Thief’s Melody, you play as a young thief-in-training navigating a vibrant archipelago, where you’ll quietly sneak through pirate camps, solve mysterious puzzles, and sail on your giant sea turtle towards towering islands on your quest to uncover the truth behind a string of kidnappings.
Along your journey, you’ll be able to meet and cure sick animals, help everyone you meet along the way, and generally just make the world a better place on your quest for the truth; you wouldn’t expect it to be as cozy as it is with all the pirates and kidnappers in it, but you’d be pretty surprised at just how feel-good this game actually is.
While you have the option to fight, you don’t have to if you don’t want to; you’re able to easily bypass any combat portions by using stealth instead, so you never have to raise your fists to fight if that’s not how you want to play. Between sneaky escapades and solving sea-faring mysteries, Zefyr just has that Saturday-morning-cartoon charm that you won’t find anywhere else in the stealth genre.
2Wanted Raccoon
Trash Pandas Do It Best
Wanted Raccoon
Raccoons are the ultimate stealth masters, with their built-in bandit masks and tiny little paws perfect for sneaking. That, combined with their fluffy little bodies and penchant for playful mischief, makes them the perfect subjects for a cozy stealth game.
Wanted Raccoon is a game that lets you step into the furry paws of a raccoon, one that’s hell-bent on fighting back against the humans that invaded his home and stole his family. You’ll need to break into animal shelters, sneak past raccoon-hating hunters, and solve environmental puzzles to free your family from their metal prisons.
Along the way, you’ll be able to wreak as much havoc as you please, steal anything that isn’t nailed down, and recruit like-minded critters on your quest for justice.
As you recruit more and more furry friends, you’ll need to build a little home base for them all, one that seeks to replace the cozy little haven that was taken from you. As you level up and increase your raccoon’s level, you’ll be able to upgrade your base, and your sneaking skills, to the max.
The stealth in this game is pretty upfront and usually feels more mischievous than menacing, especially when you’re going out of your way to knock over trash cans, steal tools out of garages, and lead daring breakouts from animal shelters.

1Untitled Goose Game
Be a Terrible, Sneaky Goose
Untitled Goose Game
Untitled Goose Game is often considered to be thekingof cozy stealth games, and rightfully so. After all, what other game lets you playa terrible little goose on a mission to cause chaos?
In Untitled Goose Game, you play as a chaotic little goose let loose in a sleepy village with one goal: cause as much havoc as possible. Though you might think honking and flapping your wings is the way to go, you’d be surprised at how much chaos a little well-timed stealth can create.
Sneaking silently through gardens and quaint little shops undetected, only to pop up and startle everyone within an inch of their lives at the last minute, is wickedly satisfying. Plus, sneaking around makes it a lot easier to steal the hats right off people’s heads, snatch keys out of pockets, and even make off with sunglasses, fresh from an unsuspecting face.
You’ll get to sneak through charming flower gardens, steal lots of hats, trap oblivious shopkeepers, and complete a checklist of hilariously petty pranks, all without getting caught. The stealth here is incredibly playful and creative, letting you experiment with timing, distraction, and general mischief rather than worrying about high-stakes consequences.
